Katie & Pete Wedding at Tunnels Beaches
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Katie and Pete's wedding from the end of October last year unfortunately fell on the day Storm Brian hit the Southwest! And it was quite a storm, with 70 plus mph winds battering the coastline and driving rain pretty much all day. This meant the planned outdoor ceremony at the fabulous setting of Tunnels Beaches had to be moved indoors.
To be fair Katie and Pete were calm and collected about it all and did just go with the flow! Despite the conditions Katie and Pete were determined to venture outside and have a few photos after the ceremony, which we did a couple of times, although it really was a case of get outside, shoot quickly, avoid being swept out to sea and get back safely inside! There was also a high tide that evening which came right up to the wall, so the waves were literally crashing against the upstairs balcony!
All this didn't stop it being a brilliant day. Katie and Pete were/are one of the nicest, down to earth couples I've had the pleasure of working with and the day was so full of joy and laughter. Just check out the last windswept photo in this blog to see what I mean. All their idea. Definitely a highlight of 2017.
