Laura & Chris wedding at Sandy Cove
When couples choose their wedding date in the month of November, I think they are surely keeping their fingers crossed for decent weather. Well, Laura and Chris struck gold on their early November wedding date last year. Not only was it sunny all day, there was also a slightly warm feel in the air, an added bonus!
I've shot a few weddings at Sandy Cove and they have all had outdoor ceremonies, but it may have not have been quite warm enough for a November one, so instead they had the ceremony indoors. The room was packed with their friends and family when Laura made her grand entrance into the ceremony. Both of their mothers gave a reading during the ceremony, which was a lovely touch and caused a few tears in the room.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches it was time to start the evening celebrations. There was a real sense of fun from everyone and the dancing certainly reflected it! I don't think I've ever seen such a wide range of skills on the dance floor!
I had a great time shooting this wedding and Laura and Chris were such a lovely couple, they and their families made me feel so welcome, like one of the guests. To top it off, Sandy Cove was the perfect venue for a wedding day like this.
