Julie & Marcel Wedding at Ocean Kave, Westward Ho!

By the time I got around to shoot Julie and Marcel's wedding, I was in the middle of a run of shooting 5 weddings in a 10 day span, but this wedding was certainly one of the highlights of them all.

When I met with Julie and Marcel for the first time I was really struck by just how warm and genuine they both were. Their wedding was to be a no fuss, intimate celebration with around 20 or so guests.

Thankfully, on the day we were blessed with perfect weather conditions. When I arrived in time for the ceremony, I found Marcel meeting and greeting their guests along with his son. Eventually, Julie arrived beaming her wonderful smile as she entered the Kave to meet Marcel and get married!

One of the many plus points of getting married at Ocean Kave is being able to bask in the sun after the ceremony on the lawn (with deck chairs!) and enjoy drinks and canapés whilst looking out over the wonderful ocean views. Julie and Marcel told me when we first met they didn't want any formal group photos at their wedding, which I found very refreshing. Instead they wanted natural photos of their guests enjoying themselves, which is right up my street! I did shoot a few formal photos of the happy couple though!

Soon, it was time to go inside to the Sunset Rooms for their wedding breakfast and a brief speech from Julie and Marcel. What a pleasure it was to capture this relaxed and fun wedding. I wish them all the very best!
