Rachel & Peter Wedding at Ocean Kave, North Devon

Rachel and Peter's wedding at Ocean Kave took place on 27th January 2015.

Would you believe me if I said this wasn't on my list of weddings to shoot for 2015 as of about 10 days ago? Well it wasn't! My previous record for being booked to shoot a wedding close to the actual date was about 6 weeks. Rachel contacted me a week before the 27th. Just goes to show, a beautiful and successful wedding day can be planned and delivered in a matter of days. Having a brilliant team of wedding planners at Ocean Kave certainly helped!

It was a very intimate wedding, other than the happy couple there was only Rachel's mother Debbie and son Sebastian in attendance. I started my photography coverage at the Royal Celerity cottage for Rachel's bridal prep, where I found her in good spirits. 

As it was an intimate wedding, Rachel wasn't sure if she would go 'traditional' and meet her groom at the altar, or whether they would just walk in together. In the end she decided to meet Peter at the altar and I think she made the right decision as it can be one of the most memorable moments at any wedding.

I left Rachel and headed down to the Kave to capture Peter arriving.

After the brief ceremony, we all headed outside to get some photos and make use of the stunning views. The lawn was a bit squelchy under foot, but Rachel had her trusty wells on and agreed to have some bride and groom photos overlooking the sea.

It may have been only a few hours for me to cover, but Rachel and Peter's wedding was most enjoyable to shoot. I wish them all the very best in their married life together.
