Joanne & Karl wedding at RHS Rosemoor & Broomhill Gardens

I was delighted when Joanna and Karl chose me to be their wedding photographer, because as well as them being lovely people, I had always wanted to shoot a wedding at RHS Rosemoor. I am a frequent visitor to the place and I always thought it would be a really interesting photogenic wedding venue and I wasn't disappointed!

My day started with Joanna and her bridal preparations at Broomhill, situated just outside Barnstaple. The idea was to get ready there and then go to Rosemoor for the ceremony before heading back to Broomhill for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. When I arrived Joanne was there with her daughter Molly and relations, who made the journey from her native Poland. She was in good spirits and her lovely cheery smile was never far away. After Joanna got into her dress I made my way to Rosemoor to find Karl and guests putting the finishing touches to the scene of the ceremony in the outdoor Cob Building, a really beautiful setting for a ceremony. 

After the delightful ceremony I whisked the newlyweds off for a photo session around the gardens. You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to having photos at Rosemoor and thankfully Joanna and Karl dedicated plenty of time for their photos, so we were able to get to multiple locations. When we arrived back to their guests and got ready to leave, Karl had a stunning vintage car waiting to drive them both back to Broomhill. When we arrived back to Broomhill there was some welcome drinks waiting for everybody. Then it was time for a few family formals and a few more shots of the happy couple in and around the sculpture gardens before everyone headed inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

Before long it was time for the band to start followed by Joanna and Karl's first dance. A perfect way to round off a perfect day! I wish Joanna and Karl all the best in their newly married life together and thank you for letting me be a part of their wedding day.
