When Alys asked if she and her fiancé Morgan could have their engagement shoot in London last weekend I didn't need asking twice!

London is my hometown and the location they wanted their shoot was a stones throw from where I was born and grew up. The City, also known as the Square Mile and Financial district is a fantastic location for a photo shoot, as the architecture is so fascinating and pleasing to the eye. There is a mixture of old and very new buildings which created a fine backdrop for their photos. Morgan currently works in the City and Alys went to school nearby, so it is a well known area to them both. Being a Saturday, the area was a lot quieter than it is during the week, but there were still a lot of people around and they both did a great job of relaxing in front of the camera.

We started at Leadenhall Market and spent the next 90 mins or so going from one location to another, including The Jamaica Wine House, a place Alys and Morgan used to meet for dates and the old ruins of St Dunstan in the East, an old church bombed out during World War 2. We ended up at the Millennium Bridge by the River Thames.

Alys and Morgan are getting married in North Devon in August and I am very much looking forward to capturing their special day. They are a lovely couple and to cap things off nicely, Alys is an avid Arsenal fan, not that I'm biased or anything.....
