The day started with Alys's bridal prep at her parents house in Umberleigh, also the venue for the reception later in the day. As Alys and Morgan had a lot of guests travelling from London and Wales and staying overnight, there were a few tipi tents put up in the grounds for the guests to stumble into after the night's festivities were done, a nice touch!

Alys was quite calm and chilled when I arrived and seemed to be taking it all in her stride. Meanwhile her bridesmaids, sisters Naomi, Anja and friend Sarah were all getting hair and makeup done. After Alys had got into her gorgeous wedding dress, I made my way down the lane to The Travellers Rest, their chosen venue for the ceremony. The building itself is a converted church dating back to the late 1800's and is quite a unique venue for a wedding with lots of strange and wonderful artefacts scattered around the large ceremony room.

Morgan was already there with his best man Al and the rest of his groomsmen, looking very smart in his top hat (there is probably a real name for the hat but I am no hat expert!) and pocket watch (and hip flask!!).

After the ceremony it was back to Alys's parents for the reception and meal with each table set named after their favourite watering holes. After the speeches it was time for the dance floor to fill up and fill up it certainly did. I managed to capture some quite nifty dance moves by some of the guests. There were a few DJ's present amongst the guests, including Morgan who took his turn on the turntable. I left as the dancing continued, no doubt long into the night...

I would like to wish Alys and Morgan all the best in their newly married life together. They are such a lovely down to earth couple. It was a real pleasure getting to know them (especially their engagement shoot in London) and capturing their big day.
