The day began with the bridal preparations at Kelsey's father's farm in Charles, but not before I ventured over to the adjacent field to capture some images of the reception site, dominated by a huge Nordic style tipi. The attention to detail at the venue was incredible with lots of quirky touches, like the tin men, art pieces, hog roast, sign posts and the impressive banquet style table settings.
The wedding ceremony was at All Saints Church in High Bray, Brayford. As I arrived at the church the groom and his groomsmen were making a grand entrance in a Bateman farm vehicle and tractor, followed a short while later by the bride and her party in a VW camper van!
After the ceremony ended and the newly weds were showered with confetti, we stopped off en route to the reception by the old stone bridge in Brayford to capture some lovely shots of the happy couple.
Then it was off to the reception and the start of the wedding breakfast. At around 4pm the rain came and didn't stop for the rest of the day! Not to worry, it didn't dampen spirits as the families and guests partied and danced into the night. What a fantastic day!
Matt and Kelsey make a great couple and it was a privilege to photograph their special day. I wish them all the best at the start of their married life together.
