Sarah & Kevin wedding, Lynhurst, Lynton & Lynmouth
It was a real pleasure shooting Sarah and Kevin's special day. They both reside in the Midlands but love this part of North Devon and frequently visit for holidays, so it proved to be an ideal place for their wedding. I met up the Sarah and Kevin at the Lyndhurst in Lynton where they were both getting ready. Unusually, breaking with wedding tradition, Sarah and Kevin actually met up face to face during the morning whilst getting ready! To them it was no bother, no fuss. Just another day like any other, which kind of summed up the whole day really. I don't think I've ever met such a laid-back couple on their wedding day and I mean that in a good way!
Their friends and family had booked all the rooms at the Lynhurst so the place was bustling with people getting ready. Sarah and her bridesmaids went outside to open a bottle of bubbly overlooking the magnificent view of Lynmouth below. Soon it was time for everyone to make their way to the nearby church for the ceremony.
I suggested to the newlyweds that we take the Cliff Railway down to Lynmouth for their bride and groom photos after their ceremony and they were more than happy to. It was fairly busy with lots of people around, but I managed to find a few secluded spots around the harbour and beach for photos. Then it was back to the Lynhurst for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
I had a lovely day shooting this wedding and hope I get the oppertunity to capture another wedding in this glorious part of North Devon. What a friendly couple Sarah and Kevin were. I wish them all the best for the future.
