Fiona & Chris wedding at Ocean Kave
Fiona and Chris' special day was one of those weddings where it was clear that so much effort and thought went into the detail and organising of everything.
I shoot quite a few weddings at the Kave and every single wedding there is different, it's one of the best things about the venue, but I've never seen the Sunset Rooms so beautifully laid out with little touches of personality, such as the wooden individual guests name pegs (they made me one too!) made by Fiona's mum, the gorgeous colour design and the sunflowers.
By the time I arrived for the bridal preparations Fiona was a mixture of pure excitement and nervous energy. Fiona and Chris were certainly blessed when it came to the weather which was warm and sunny all day and evening. In fact they decided to have their speeches outdoors on the lawn in front of the Kave which I've never seen before. At one point a skateboard appeared out of nowhere with the groom Chris on board, swiftly followed by Fiona trying her hand at it with Chris holding her hand of course!
By the time it came to sunset we headed out onto the nearby beach at Westward Ho! for some bride and groom shots bathed in the most amazing light. An added bonus was the tide being fully out which gave us room to roam, not always the case at Westward Ho! beach.
All in all it was such an amazing day and I can't thank Fiona and Chris enough for letting me be a part of their special day.
